Thinking Outside The Box - Testimonial

I was recalling the five frustrating years I spent attempting to find someone, anyone in lower Michigan willing and/or able to deal with my neck and back problems. I could almost see the question marks in the minds of the doctors as I tried, in vain, to describe my problems.

I thought about how as I was tending to my dying father I ended up seeing one of his doctors there – Dr. ______ - after I fell on the ice last winter. I remember Dr. ______ telling me that he had heard of a doctor in town who had gained a reputation as someone who like challenges and thought “outside the box” on many medical issues.

I was a bit skeptical but came to see you because my neck & back troubles were escalating almost on a daily basis.

During our first meeting I was impressed by the kinds of questions you asked & the amount of time you spent discussing my case. It was almost as if you reached inside of me & pulled out the precise issues that needed to be resolved. That was the first time in 5 years that I left a doctors office with hope in my heart. I told my wife, Lisa “ This guy is extremely bright and I'm confident that he can fix what's wrong!”

Each time I drive the 185 miles to see you, I become more convinced than ever that you were put on this earth to help hopeless, discouraged people like I was, get well. It's a miracle that I ever found you in the first place. My faith does not allow me to think it was a coincidence.

You have assembled a staff of wonderful people who make each office visit a pleasant experience. Thanks to you I have hope – hope that I'll make a full recovery! Each time I feel a little bit better.

At this most recent visit, the inspections didn't hurt at all. I'm already starting to feel some relief from the pressure and I'm trying to take your suggestion about being relaxed, very seriously. I have a lot to learn there. I don't think anyone can fully understand another person's pain, but if someone did, it would be you!

I hope my progress (along with many others', I'm sure) will encourage you to continue your pioneering efforts to combat pain. God knows there is more than enough of it in the world. All of us who hurt, need a dedicated man like you! You are very special, indeed!

Please accept my deepest gratitude for the great work you are doing!

Sincerely,

Jim Macdonald
