Meet Dr. Jay Jones

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University (B.S. in Biology) and Wayne State University (M.D.), Dr. Jay Jones first took an interest in pain management while a physical medicine and rehabilitation resident in the late 1980’s. This was well before pain management was recognized as a specialty.

Dr. Jones is double boarded in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Immediately after residency at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Dr. Jones and his wife began their professional careers in Traverse City. In the spring of 2009, they made the decision to “go solo.” Jones Center for Pain Management opened their doors in October 2009 in the Copper Ridge Development.

Dr. Jones enjoys non-competitive sports, and artistic recreation playing acoustic & electric guitar and harmonica. He also serves as a praise and worship leader for the contemporary music service at First Congregational Church.
